What is CollectiveX?
CollectiveX brought social networking to the business world, allowing companies to setup a group site where their members can easily communicate and share information. Launched in 2005, CollectiveX was an early adopter of the Ruby on Rails framework, leveraging both the technology and the audience to build a thriving community.

What did New Leaders do?
Robert Bousquet, CollectiveX’s first employee, helped founder Clarence Wooten build, launch, and market CollectiveX prior to co-founding New Leaders. Robert’s responsibilities as the startup’s lead developer involved the operation of a complete social network, including: ecommerce, discussions, calendars, and file sharing functionality. During this startup period, Robert helped CollectiveX impressively survive three separate TechCrunch reviews. Kevin Milden of New Leaders, worked with CollectiveX to develop a marketing website and messaging systems, as well as enhance the overall user experience.

What were the results?
New Leaders played a major role in the conception and implementation of CollectiveX, and encouraged it to become a more open environment. The creation of open-access public groups and a-la-carte feature pricing structure, assisted CollectiveX with its rapid adoption rate. Combined with the leadership and experience of Clarence Wooten, these novel approaches have made CollectiveX a significant online destination.
