Money is a byproduct
For many people creating a new product or service they are focused on the money it will generate. While it is good measure to have compensation in mind it shouldn’t be your only goal. Money is a byproduct of doing something people want. Doing something great. When making money is the only point the execution it tends to be weak. Customers get fleeced, the offer is soft and the product usually sucks. Try focusing on doing something that you are both passionate about and is worthwhile to your customers. Care more that you should. You’ll find that your compensation usually follows pretty closely behind a great execution.
The other great thing about focusing on the execution and customer service rather than merely the compensation is that you needn’t bother with the hard sale. You don’t need to use questionable and untrustworthy tactics when getting people to buy your products and services. It is cheaper and easier to convert new customers. When you are fair, honest, and ethical as well as do a terrific job it is so much easier to sell. So much energy is put into tricking people into buying things that aren’t worth a damn.
Your energy is better spent in improving what you have rather than devising a complicated strategy into tricking people or selling something they don’t want or need. Try investing some time into improving the product and making it better and easier to buy rather than fleecing your customers.
